The Young Ambassador of the 21st Century Award is an opportunity to recognize the achievements of high school students who have demonstrated community involvement and leadership. The recognition starts by the local club recognizing a local high school student. The Zone Chairman makes a selection which is forwarded to the Region Chairman. The Region Chairman selects the candidate to represent the Region. The final selection of the Youth Ambassador for District 33-A is done by the Lions Young Ambassadors Award Committee. The award is presented at the District 33-A Mid-Winter Conference. The winner will be presented with a plaque and a cash award. The sponsoring club will be responsible for the meals of the student and his/her parent/guardian. Any one else that wishes to attend the ceremony will be welcome; at their own expense.
