Sight & Hearing Fund Meetings for 2007 - 2008

All Meetings are scheduled Sundays at 10:00 A. M. and will be held at N.E.A.D.S. in Princeton, MA

Meeting dates are subject to change/ Members will be notified in the event of scheduling changes.

Requesting Assistance

A request for assistance shall be made by an officer of the individual Lions Club in the form of an Application for Assistance, which may be obtained from the Member At Large of the club's zone. The application shall be completed and returned to the Member At Large who will present it to the Sight and Hearing Board for consideration. Thereafter, the Directors of the Fund may make such investigation as they deem suitable and the Directors shall thereafter approve or disapprove each request by vote.

How to Donate

Club Donations

All funds are used to assist District 33-A clubs to meet the needs of the residents of Central Massachusetts.

Joseph J. Camarda Fellowship

A recognition plaque and a lapel pin may be presented to a Lion or non-Lion and their name is inscribed on a permanent Honor Roll for a $500.00 contribution. The sum of $500.00 can be made in 2 payments over 2 consecutive years if designated specifically. Indicate on the Joseph J. Camarda Fellowship Award Application form if this is the "first" fellowship or "progressive" for the recipient.

All donations toward Joseph J. Camarda Fellowship should be mailed along with an application form to the current secretary of the District 33-A Sight & Hearing Conservation & Treatment Fund Inc. Please Allow two weeks for delivery.

 

Progressive Joseph J. Camarda Fellowship

An existing Joseph J. Camarda Fellow may be recognized for their continued service and dedication with a progressive recognition plaque and pin for a $500.00 contribution. The sum of $500.00 can be made in 2 payments over 2 consecutive years if designated specifically. Indicate on the Joseph J. Camarda Fellowship Award Application. A special Progressive plaque and lapel pin is presented to the recipient. Indicate on the Joseph J. Camarda Fellowship Award Application form if this is the "first" fellowship or "progressive" for the recipient.

Joseph R. Protono Founders Award

The Joseph R. Protono Founders Award was established to honor the memory of the Founder of the District 33-A Sight & Hearing Conservation & Treatment Fund Inc.

The Joseph R. Protono Founders Award can be given to any Lion or individual who has demonstrated an ability to further the betterment or cure of those individuals who are afflicted by sight or hearing related disabilities.

The award will be presented annually by the District 33-A Sight & Hearing Conservation & Treatment Fund, Inc. at the Mid-Winter Conference in February, if a qualified recipient is approved by the Sight & Hearing Fund Committee.

Any Club or individual Lion wishing to submit the name of an applicant may do so no later than December 1st prior to the next Mid-Winter Conference with a written resume.

A committee from the Sight & Hearing Fund consisting of the seated President, seated Vice President and (3) three Past Presidents will review the applications and determine the recipient. For more information contact: Lion Dick Smith or see District 33-A Directory for phone number.

Memorials/Honorariums

Donations in memory or honor of individuals may be made at any time. Specifically printed envelopes are available. An acknowledgement is sent to the family of the deceased or the person being recognized. Contact current secretary of the District 33-A Sight & Hearing Conservation & Treatment Fund Inc.
