District Governor Donald Bourque and Team
DISTRICT GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE
I
write this article for the newsletter on
I can not express my thanks
enough to this great and “AWESOME” district for their encouragement and support
during the past year. Lion Paul and
I are so encouraged by every single member of this great District.
This coming year my goal
for the district is RETENTION.
With keeping members in the organization this will bring in new members
and keep the great job of the LIONS moving forward.
This year our very own VDG
Jeannette MacIntosh will be spending the better part of her time concentrating
on the revitalization of the Barre club.
VDG Jeannette will have all the support of the District and the
Our mid-winter this year
will be celebrated at the Sturbridge Host Hotel and they are not under
construction. The theme this year
will be
Hawaiian
Luau so bring out your grass
skirts and your Hawaiian shirts and let’s have a great Luau from
CST Bob Haskell and I are
looking forward to visiting your clubs during the year.
We have lots of new and exciting programs that we are adding to our
already fantastic lineup of awards.
Here are a few new ones:

Some changes we are making this year are as
follows:
Newsletter
will be mailed 3 times this year in color to all the club presidents including
the Leos. This will be emailed out
to all other members in the District.
So get your ads into PCST Karen Lachance asap.
Bulletin:
Denise Andrews (Barber) will be emailing a monthly Bulletin with all the
District highlights each and every month so keep all your notices up to date and
get them to Denise and to Dan for the website asap to get the maximum exposure..
This year we have also
asked Cindy Manini to be our official scrapbook keeper.
So if you have any flattering (lol) photos or articles of the DG and his
cabinet please send them to Cindy to present us with this at the end of the
year.
Dan Bonnette, among his
other jobs, will be taking on the job of Official District Photographer.
Need and shot or not Dan will be there.
Communication
is going to be a huge part of what we want to accomplish this year.
Not only do we need to keep everyone aware of the happenings we also want
to keep to a schedule and be on time.
This was obvious at our officer trainings recently when they both lasted
1 hour and 10 minutes only. Keeping
on a schedule and keeping informed and having a
BLAST while doing it will keep more
members coming to the meeting and keeping more members involved.
We want to have a BLAST year.
Now is the time we look to the future of Lionism to help us and out clubs
move to the next level.

The entire cabinet is here
to help the District in each and every way we can.
We want to succeed with you.
Use us as much as you can so we can all help our communities to the best of our
abilities. I am here to help in
anyway that I can. I look forward
to seeing everyone and have a safe and healthy year,

DG Don Bourque
